Lingo offers great plans at very appealing prices for frequent international callers.  However, you will have to deal with somewhat inconsistent call quality.  We have received a lot of negative feedback from Lingo users in the past.  We have heard it is getting better. 

Pros = 1. First month of service is FREE ($21+ value) 2. No contract required 3. Only $21.95 for unlimited calling in the U.S., Canada, Puerto Rico, and Western Europe.  4. Free adapter ($40 value) 5. Free unlimited calling to other lingo users  6. Great international plans and international options like the option to have a phone number based out of another country

Cons = 1. $29.95 activation fee 2. Voice/sound quality inferior to competitors 3. $39.95 fee if you choose to cancel your service after the free trial period 4. $9.95 shipping fee when signing up
